Essentivity · Notes on designing a life on purpose
You got everything you were supposed to want. So why does Sunday night still feel like dread?
I'm Liam James. I quit a dream job after a panic attack in Tirana and started designing a life on purpose instead. Essentivity is where I write down what I'm doing, once a week.

I was a Marketing Director for five years. Good salary, good title, good story at dinner parties.
In July 2025 I had a panic attack on the floor of an Airbnb in Tirana and realised I'd built a life with no room in it for the things I actually wanted. Not a job problem. Nobody had ever taught me how to design a life, so I'd inherited one by default.
I quit. Worked in a cafe. And started building a process for doing it on purpose. That process is Essentivity. This site is me using it, out loud.
You don't need to blow up your life. You need a better map.
Three things here
The free course. Seven modules, one a day, with the templates I still use. Start there.
The writing. Once a week: what I did, what worked, what I got wrong. The same notes go out as the newsletter.
The videos. The spoken version of the same thing.
